Good evening

Thank you for writing on health care magic

Considering your background, the swelling on ankles could be related to the disease itself. Firstly we need to see if the ankle joints are swollen ? You might have pain on movements and there will be definite restrictions.

Secondly if it is not due to joint swelling , we need to examine it for edema.

1, So does your swelling pit on pressure?or is there any restriction of the movement at the ankle joint

2. What are the current medications you are taking?,

3. When did you last check your renal function test and liver function tests

Do let me know your queries. I will be happy to guide you further

1. Yes it pits, but there is also soreness at the joint and restricted movement.
2. Plavix, Htdroxyzine Pamoate, Lisinopril, Sertraline and 5 days ago a nurse practitioner gave me Hydrochlorothiazide. But my feet and ankles are still swollen.
3. She drew blood work 5 days ago and she said the results are normal.

I am still concerned over the outbreak of these pimple (cyst) things on my torso. some of them are small and others are the size of a quarter. They break and are puss filled.

? Infective lesions

Detailed Answer:
Good evening

Sorry for the late reply as i was occupied with hospital duties

Well if the blood results are normal( i am hoping it includes Renal Function Tests), then that bit you need not be worried about. It may be due to flare of the Rheumatoid Arthritis causing ankle swelling and pain. But from your medications, i dont see any medications for Arthritis. I am not too sure if it is really RA.

As for the lesions which are breaking with pus formation, I would recommend you to start an antibiotics for now. It could very well be an infection. If you could schedule an appointment with your physician that would be great. He can at least examine you for the ankle swelling and guide accordingly. But yes, try to do it at the earliest. With Lupus anticoagulant i wouldnt want to wait

If you could send me a picture of the lesions, that would be more helpful. I would be able to figure out what exactly is that.

Feel free to ask for more queries

I am using a topical solution for the R/A. My R/A number is 50. I have sent you two pictures of the lesions. I hope they are clear enough for you to see what's going on.
I was taken off the methotrexate about 6 months ago. Voltaren is the topical stuff. She wanted to give me a break from the methotrexate for awhile. I was on Celebrex before that and it didn't work to well.
I've attached a copy of my blood work. I don't have a current one. I see the R/A doctor and the Hemotologist after the 1st of the year.
Could I have MRSA?

Skin Lesions

Detailed Answer:
Good evening

I have seen your pictures. It doesnt look like a bacterial infection. It is a maculopapular rash spreading over the abdomen. I am not sure if it fades on pressure.

Coming to this rash, it could very well be due to viral fever ( which should fade away), but at the same time it can be due to Lupus Anticoagulant as well.

I would suggest you visit your rheumatologist once. If the Lupus anticoagulant or some illness is getting activated, it needs to be controlled soon...

Do let me know for your further queries. But yes it is not MRSA.
