What Causes Swollen Hard Left Posterior Labia And Pain During Urination?

I sleep with the dog too when I stay overnight, occasionally. However, he felt the bug bite when he was standing in the kitchen earlier in the evening. Tea tree soap and ointment seems relieving but not curing it. Is this a Signed Perplexed.
It;s not due to bug bite in you.

HI
Greeting from Dr. Divakara.P
First of all thanks for choosing Healthcaremagic for posting your query.
First of all I don't think some bug has bitten you . You boyfriend has some infection which has got transmitted to you .
Now the question is what is that infection that you and your boyfriend has . Is it really due to bug bite or is it a sexually transmitted disease. ( Herpes or Gonorrhea )
I would recommend you both get tested for Sexually transmitted diseases.
Also get a prescription for Xylocaine gel use it over your labia where it hurts and also get prescription for Antibiotic Doxy and use it .
Make sure your boyfriend also gets tested and also use the antibiotics.
Hope this information was useful to you.
Any clarifications feel free to ask .
Regards.

Thank you for your helpful reply. Since writing my question, I did research on the web and found a lot of women who have had swollen, hard, red, labia minor, after intercourse with too much friction, and not enough lubrication. This was my first intuition that this is what caused the condition, before I knew anything about a bug bite.
I found suggestions on the web to take an anti-inflammatory, ibuprofen or Tylenol. So I took Ibuprofen before bed last night and the swelling and discomfort was down by morning. Not completely, but significant. I also wash numerous times a day with tea tree soap and apply tea tree ointment which is helping to relieve discomfort too. I took another Ibuprofen this morning.
If condition continues to improve, do you feel I still need to go get tested for STD? My occasional hometown boyfriend I have known for 30 years, since high school, and he is not active with anyone else for years now.
Thank you for your help. Also, if it continues to get better, do I need to do the Doxy or not? I may try to get the xylocaine gel anyway. Not sure if I have a way to get a prescription as I don't have a doctor in my hometown anymore where I am right now. Signed XXXXX
No need to test if you feel better.

HI
Thanks for the follow up .
Well if you are getting relief from Ibuprofen then that's good but a local application of xylocaine gel will give you more relief. But mind you both ibuprofen or xylocaine will give relief from pain but won't heal the problem. Yes if it's just a bug bite and there is no infection then these are enough.
Yes if you are feeling better you can avoid getting tested for STDs but make sure after few days or a week the pain should have gone completely and there should not be any need for Ibuprofen or Xylocaine. If in case pain persists ( even Mild ) start Doxy and go for STD testing.
Also keep a track of your boyfriend's lesion on his penis .
Hope this information was useful to you.
Any clarification needed feel free to ask .
Regards.
