What Causes Swollen Hard Left Testicle Even After Hernia Operation?
Question: Had hernia operation done 1 month back but still left testicles are hard and swollen till now?Applied icepack regularly but no effect with it?Is it serious or will it subside automatically?

I assume the Surgery you underwent for Hernia repair was Herniplasty( The defect repaired by insertion of synthetic mesh). During the Surgery there is sometimes handling of blood vessels supplying the testis . This leads to Ischemic Orchitis( inflammation of testis following reduced blood supply). The resultant inflammation causes enlargement of testis.
There is no reason of worry as it will improve over period of time.
I would suggest the following
1. Good scrotal support: Wear right size undwear- neither too tight nor loose. Providing good scrotal support will help relieve testicular congestion
2. Analgesic like Ibuprofen 400 mg thrice a day for 5 days
3. Anti-inflammatory , anti-oedema drugs: Combination Of Chymotrypsin and Serrotiopeptidase ( One of the brand name Chymoral forte) taken twice a day will be helpful in reducing the swelling
Do get a routine assessment fro your operating surgeon.
