What Causes Swollen Lymph Nodes In The Neck And Rapid Heart Rate?

default
Posted on Fri, 31 Mar 2017
Question: Had normal CBC and metabolic panel in January. Late February resulted in elevated AST and calcium blood levels. The past 6-8 weeks I have experienced worrisome symptoms including:so sleepy most of the time and easily winded, frequent headache and head rush (especially when bending over), joint discomfort and hip, forearm pain, swollen lymph nodes on the right side of neck (not huge, just enlarged as if I had a cold), petechie that comes and go (few dots, sometimes clustered, on neck and abdomin, forearms), infrequent and inconsistent nightsweats occuring only in the past few days, bloating, loss of appetite and weightloss (was 112-115...now 102-103 I'm 5'4") and unhealthy looking eyes, not white and bright, left eye turns red daily without known case. 30 years old and relatively healthy (no chronic illness). Doctor appt today showed low blood pressure and a rapid heart rate (94). Doctor is being shockingly dismissive of my discomfort. Thank you for taking the time to reply! It's much appreciated.

Brief Answer:
Supportive care

Detailed Answer:
Thank you for asking

I read your question and i understand your concern. Heart rate is normal in range of 60 and 100 so no worries for that. Loss of weight is worrisome, and your BMI is cachexic. With normal metabolic profile and no worries in it , you need caloric intake increase to 4 thousand calories and regular exercise, once you have been able to gain some weight your symptoms will improve. Joint pains, headache, gastric discomfort, easy wounds will subside. All you need is gaining some weight, hook up with a nutritionist, let them devise a complete dietary rich plan full of calories and you are good to go. I would suggest some low doses of tricyclic antidepressants like amitriptyline, it will help your symptoms and make you feel better in gastric discomfort, headache and will help with sleep as well. Night sweats and lymph nodes you mentioned i am sure your doctor have assessed for and is likely not worrisome as there are 22 possible causes for night sweats, most of them benign including yours.

Just ignore all the facts and start working with putting up some weight, modifying diet and lifestyle and see how it goes. I hope it helps. Take good care of yourself and dont forget to close the discussion please.
