I have had the swelling since Wednesday. No to all of your questions. I woke up this morning and the swelling is almost gone in the groin area and the swelling has gone down in the jaw area. I noticed the swelling is almost gone in the pubic area. I did have an ingrown hair near my pubic area that got infected pretty bad. Could I be fighting some type of infection that spread? The rash on my chest is still there. Plus my chin really broke out with acne pretty bad ??
Brief Answer:
Swelling is due to infected ingrown hair
Detailed Answer:
Hi dear.Thanks for writing back.
I were to do complete blood count and evaluate the cause of rash.
Infection of the ingrown hair is the cause of enlargement/swelling of your lymph nodes.Bacteria from this area reach the lymph node & lymph node becomes swollen when it fights the infection.I were to make small cut with a sterile needle to release it and put you on a coarse of antibiotics.
Acne is not related to this infection.I were to treat with topical cream (adapalene and clindamycin gel) depending on the severity of acne.
Hope this answers your query.

Brief Answer:
Shingles present with rash and pain
Detailed Answer:
Hi dear. Thanks for writing me back.
Shingles is due to the reactivation of the chickenpox virus which you would have suffered in your childhood. The rash spreads along the nerves and is painful. The swollen lymph node may or may not be due to shingles.
I usually treat with analgesics and antiviral drugs. According to me this lasts for 2-4 weeks. Most case the rash lasts while the pain subsides. I hope you are on antiviral drugs.
Hope this helps and answers your query.
