What Causes Swollen, Red And Flaky Eyelids?
Question: I recently woke up one morning with my eyelids swollen, red and flaky. The side of my face by my ear was extremely itchy and felt dry, as well, but at the time, I didn't link the two. Eventually, after a few days, the swelling subsided, but about a week later I woke up with a similar reaction, but my eyelids were even more red and swollen, as well as the outside edge of my eye. The side of my face itches as well, and today, there are spots throughout my body, including my neck, that itch. I thought it was a new product I was using the first time around, so I discontinued using it, but it doesn't seem like that was the issue. I can't think of anything I've changed in my diet or product use since this started, and generally, I used organic products and avoid the common allergens in diets. Any thoughts on what this might be or what I can do to help it? Thanks.
PS. Not sure if it's relevant, but I am currently being treated for CFS, Fibromyalgia, low ATP levels and chronic mono. Thanks again!

Brief Answer:
possibility of allergy is more.
Detailed Answer:
Thanks for your question on Health Care Magic.
I can understand your concern.
Possibility of allergy is more.
Another possibility is ear infection with virus.
In both these conditions, swelling of eyes, itching and skin lesions on body are seen.
But they are more common in allergy.
So better to get done serum IgE level and eosinophil count. If these are positive than allergy is the cause.
Better to take combination of antihistamine (fexofenadine) and anti allergic (montelukast).
It will give you more relief.
Hope I have solved your query.
I will be happy to help you further.
Wish you good health. Thanks.
