What Causes Swollen Tonsils And Red Bumps On Tongue After Oral Sex?
Need STD screening and prophylaxis and protection in future
Detailed Answer:
Thank you for asking
I read your question and i understand your concern. With oral sex sore throat should always be evaluated for STD and a swab test will do that easily so get screened and take prophylaxis for it. Gonococcal pharyngitis is quite common amongst all.
A teaspoonfull of salt mixed in 8 ounces of warm water and gargles with it will help the relief. If it comes positive I would recommend combination of doxycycline and azithromycin. Talk to your doctor and see what they have to say in this regard. And dont forget to use a barrier next time.
I hope it helps. take good care of yourself and don't forget to close the discussion please.

No harm in ruling out

Thank you for getting back
For the safety of patient we keep our suspicion threshold high so yes I think it could be STD related. With unprotected sex it is more likely. And there is no harm in getting evaluated.

possibilities mentioned. One thing at a time.

For the possibilities I mentioned earlier that gonorrhea, herpes and syphilis are on top causing sore throat. To know who transmitted in multiple partners getting them all screened too would be needed. But one thing at a time. First get your self tested. There is pretty healthy chance it might not be an STD but a mere inflammatory response of tonsils to oral coitus .
I hope it helps.

Don't wait up

Waiting and seeing is not wise. Getting tested with accordingly treatment at an earliest convenience is advised.

As i mentioned oral coitus itself is aggressive enough to cause epithelia damage and tonsillar enlargement with out any infection however getting screened was for prophylactic measures. And without any of the partner you have been with tested i am afraid pin pointing would be unwise. first get yourself tested if you come positive which is 50 / 50 then decide who it was by getitng each your partner tested.
I hope it helps.
