What Causes Temporary Dizziness And Double Vision?
you should visit ER
Detailed Answer:
Hello.
Welcome to HCM.
This is Dr. Swarnava Dattagupta answering your query.
I have gone through your query and understand your concern.
What you experienced is probably a transient ischemic attack or TIA. As there is no history of a migraine, hence this can be ruled out. Plus your history of hypertension is a risk factor for TIA. Fluctuation in blood pressure towards higher side may be the cause.
You have also mentioned that your blood pressure currently is 150/87. This is in the higher range and you need to be monitored again for blood pressure and other symptoms. If blood pressure increases more, you need to be given drugs to control it. As well as a CT scan might be done to rule out brain damage and neurological examination should be done to rule out neural causes.
Hence if a patient complained to me of suchsymptoms, I would suggest a visit to ER. I advise the same for you too.
Hope this was useful.
Take care.
Regards.
