What Causes Temporary Loss Of Peripheral Vision And Metallic Taste In Mouth?
It indicates episode of transient ischemic attack.
Detailed Answer:
Hello
Welcome to Health care Magic.
I am Dr. DADAPEER K, an Ophthalmologist and I will be answering your question.
I reviewed your history. It seems from the history that your daughter had an episode of loss of peripheral vision which recovered by 20 minutes.
This is called as transient ischemic attack.
The common causes for this are transient ischemia caused by hypotension, hypovolemia, hypoglycaemia and rarely by vascular diseases.
Since she had similar episode in the past, this requires evaluation.
We need to rule out common causes like hypotension, hypoglycaemia, hypovolemia and any of these are present correction of it is required.
If the common causes as I have mentioned are absent then she requires evaluation to rule out vascular causes and vascular headaches like prodromal phase of migraine.
Hence I advice you to consult your doctor for examination and treatment accordingly.
Hope this is helpful to you.
