What Causes Tender Bumps On Anal Area?
Question: I have bumps around my anal ring and not sure what it is. It's not painful but somewhat tender. Please help!

Since when have you got these bumps?
Are they smooth and rounded or fleshy and finger like?
Any associated problems related to bowel, sexual habits or so on....

The most probable causes are
Small sebaceous gland type of retention cysts; these are usually self limiting but if get infected, i can cause abscesses and further complications.

Ive had these bumps for at least a month, possibly longer. They are fleshy -

Consult a General Surgeon for Per-rectal examination and proctoscopy to see the degree/grade of hemorrhoids and plan for further treatment depending upon this findings.
Colonoscopy as a routine is recommended.
Take laxative if there is constipation.
