What Causes Terrible Stomach Ache, Diarrhea And Vomiting?
Question: My 5yr old son is in terrible pain as of the past 2 hours. he had dhiarrea all day with no pain, then this evening he vomited a few times with intsense pains in his belly. aside from pediasure what can i give him to make him feel better...please answer asap, we are scared....thank you Tara Cifarelli YYYY@YYYY

Sorry for late reply, as i just received your query.
From the description given the cause of pain is likley to be intestinal colic associated with Acute Gastro-enteritis. In the absence of blood in stools there is no cause for concern.
I would suggest you the following
1. Over the counter medication Like Lansoprozole which is Proton pump inhibitor(reduces gastritis) and Domperidone(antiemetic ) will be helpful
2. Antispasmodics will be helpful
3. Give him soft diet
4. Yoghurt will be helpful
5. Avoid carbonated beverages
6. Probiotics will be helpful
If the symptoms persist or pain worsens then do consult Pediatrician for further clinical examination and assessment.
