Brief Answer:
Anxiety and stress could be one of the causes of the feeling of a lump in the throat

Detailed Answer:

Hi,

Since from your medical history it seems that you are having a high blood pressure problem. And the medicines you are taking right now do not have these type of side effects so no need to stop these medicines.

Though there could be other factors which may cause lump sensation in the throat and these could be like;
1. Stress and anxiety
2. Acidity (Acid reflux)
3. Throat muscle spasm

The most common cause is anxiety, so if it is there then you must avoid it. For this, you may start exercising, meditation etc.

For acid reflux, you must keep eye on your diet, sleeping hours etc.

In case both of the above causes are ruled out then throat muscle spasm could be one of the factors. Also, I would like to know about your weight and height in history.

Hope I have answered your query.
