Question : I have something in back of tongue that feels like something stuck there but there isn't anything. I can go very deep with my finger and feel flaps but do gag if I get too far. Would those flaps ( or whatever they r called) be the problem?

Brief Answer:
Explained

Detailed Answer:
Hello and welcome

I appreciate your concern

It could be a foreign body, a polyp , enlarged tonsil or a benign growth.

The oral cavity needs to be examined to rule out any lesion or growth.

I would strongly advise you not to use your fingers for locating the area. Consult your GP or an oral physician in this regard.

Wishing you best of health

Thanks
