What Causes The Lesion In The Floor Of The Mouth And Tongue?
The next day (yesterday), a spot appeared on the left side under my tongue that looked like a small pin point crater but the skin was whitish except for the crater. Tonight it has escalated to the point of the whole left side of my tongue, top and bottom are white and along with being very swollen, the pin point area has become very large and deep, actually quite a large concave shape. It appears to be oozing a tiny bit with a little blood as well.
What should I do? I can't find a 24 hour urgent care facility.
Can you help me please?
Thank you so much,

Detailed Answer:
Thanks for your query. I have gone through your query.
As far as the lesion in the floor of the mouth and tongue is concerned, it can be a traumatic ulcer or it can be a inflamed salivary gland duct opening.
Nothing to be panic. Consult a oral physician and get it evaluated. Mean while you can use topical anesthetic like lignocaine and topical analgesic like choline salicylate.
The lesion should heal by 5days. If it is not healing in this duration then consult a good oral physician and get it evaluated.
These are the possible diagnosis and treatment plan based on the description of the lesion by yourself. If you can upload the images of the lesion I can give you the exact diagnosis and treatment plan.
I hope I have answered your query. If any queries are there reply me back. Take care.
