Brief Answer: most commonly fungal infection Detailed Answer: Hello, There are several causes for peeling of skin of the bottom of feet. The most common cause is fungal infection of the feet or Tinea Pedis. It happens mostly when your feet are moist and warm like when you wear closed shoes most of the times. Other causes are due to excessive sweating that may be inherent, reaction to various drugs/medications, and also due to superficial scalds and burns of varying degrees. Treatment would depend on the underlying cause. This is a broad overview of what you are looking at. Let me know if you have specific queries. Regards,
