What Causes The Urge To Urinate And Gassy Stomach?
Question: for a month I have had a frequent urge to urinate which leads to a need to eliminate, the bowl movement is mostly gas, with occasional slender feces. I have always had regular bowl movements, usually twice a day.

1) Do you have nocturnal frequency (Nocturia)
2) How is your urine stream moderate ,poor or normal ?
The frequent urge to pass urine at this age is mostly due to Enlarged Prostate and needs to be investigated .
Consult qualified Urologist for clinical and digital rectal examination and get following basic tests done to confirm the diagnosis.
1) Urine routine and culture.
2) Ultrasound scanning of abdomen and pelvis with specific mention of Post Void Residual Urine
3) Serum PSA.
Further treatment will depend upon result of these tests and final diagnosis.
In the mean while road spectrum antibiotic like Cefixime along with Nitrofurantoin and Flavoxate twice daily .
