Question: I am an adult male age 83. I have noticed that I have urge for frequent urination (once every 2 hours)
No pain, no bloody urine. I am taking low dose (o.112 mg) hdrochlorithiazine as part of my blood pres control meds. Please comment. Thanks. e-mail address: YYYY@YYYY .

Frequent urge to pass urine at the age of 83 years could be mostly due to Enlarged Prostate which is common in males after the age of 60 years and needs to be investigated .

1) Are you diabetic?

Please consult qualified Urologist for clinical and digital rectal examination and get following basic tests done to confirm the diagnosis.
1) Urine routine and culture.
2) Ultrasound scanning of abdomen and pelvis
3) Serum PSA.

Further treatment will depend upon result of these tests and final diagnosis.
