What Causes Thickened Endometrium After An Abortion?

Question: I am XXXXXXX from XXXXXXX I got married in aug 2014 recently i did QTC due to missed abortion. now i am taking scan the give the result as thickened endometrium. what is the cause for that?. is that anything serious to worry?. i have thyroid problem. this is Due to Thyroid. Please answer. i am so much worried about my pregnancy. i try to get pregnant. this is anything affect my pregnancy?

HELLO,
thanks for the query,
If the USG impression of thickened endometrium is after your missed periods and your menses haven't yet started then this is a normal finding of thickened endometrium.
Hypothyroidism is known to delay your menses or even cause amenorrhoea, so it is important that the thyroid levels have to be controlled with exogenous thyroxine tabs to bright TSH levels less than 5.
If you have missed your menses for more than 15 days now, then you may opt for a withdrawal bleed with progesterones to resume your menses and of course thyroxine has to be continued at a particular dose regularly.
You may send your thyroid report and scan report for per usual.
