Question: Hi. I have fibromyalgia and lumbar disc degeneration. Poor feet flexion which I know effects my calf muscles too. No ankle reflexes. Physio said can't help me with shin bone pain and surrounding areas. I thank no I've actually got femoral sciatica. Need ideas on why the shin bone pan, I'm not a runner etc. What can I do? Thigh pain also becoming an issue. Pain starts directly below knee cap to the bend top of feet. Breaks through strong pain relief

Brief Answer:
Provide more details and take treatment as advised

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
I have gone through your question and understand your concerns.
Both lumbosacral radiculopathy and fibromyalgia may cause pain in thighs and lower limbs.
Please provide imaging of spine and previous prescription describing examination findings.
You can take pregabalin or gabapentin with duloxetine.
Calcium supplements should be taken.
Pain killers with muscle relaxant can be taken for few days.
Physiotherapy is helpful in such cases and should be continued under guidance.
Avoid lifting heavy objects, squatting position, stooping forward, sitting crossed leg.
Hope you found the answer helpful.

Hi and thanks. Doctor won't do scan, he said there is no point unless possible surgery, so can't provide imaging.
Physio said can't help anymore with shin pain etc, so dropped at moment.
Will try the calcium.
Any help with ideas on GP refusing ? I did think about private scan but not money.

Hello,
Any diabetes?
In view of absent ankle reflex, imaging of lumbosacral spine is required.
Follow instructions as advised previously.
Provide dosage of gabapentin.
