Brief Answer:
You may stop Folica hair solution

Detailed Answer:
Dear,
Welcome to HCM
I could figure out three major questions in your query.

1) use of folica hair solution
- it's difficult to comment about its potential side effects or if the thinning is due to the solution here, as you have not mentioned the contents of the solution. It's important to know the drug content of solution, as there are variety of products available in market with various combination of chemicals. The suitability of a solution can vary with individual. If you are dissatisfied with its use due to no results or ill effects, it is strongly suggested to stop using the product. It is advised that you must consult an expert before using any cosmetic product. In case if it is prescribed to you by a doctor, reporting the problem to him is advised.

2) whether heavy weight lifting can result hair loss.
- Well, weight lifting per se directly can not be a reason for hair loss, however as we know male androgen hormone testosterone is responsible for male pattern baldness, and any muscle building activity naturally increases the body levels of testosterone. However, it's just a theory. There is no substantial evidence available to say that weight lifting results in hair loss. At least natural weight lifting without external steroid use should not result in hair loss.

3) yes, finasteride use in 1 mg per day strength, has a strong evidence base for it promoting hair growth and preventing male pattern hair loss. There are clear positive results for use of finasteride for hair loss.
Although there is no evidence suggestive of added advantage with higher doses of finasteride use. If there is poor response with 1 mg, then it is unlikely that increasing the dose to 2.5 mg would help. Besides, one major concern to keep into consideration is the sexual side effects of reduced libido, erection and ejaculation problems with the use of this drug. Increasing the dose would further risk you for these adverse effects, which are known to occur on around 10% patients using finasteride. Therefore it is suggested to use minimal effective dose. In case of no response, consider other options.

Hope my opinion satisfies your query.

Wish you a good health.

Brief Answer:
yes, it can cause thining

Detailed Answer:
Thanks for the reply.
Benzyl nicotinate is an alcohol compound. Salicyclic acid being an acid and has keratolytic(Skin, hair thining) effect. These compounds in excess use do cause drying and thinning of hair, as it prevents the natural oily scalp secretion and also thins out the keratin layer of hair.
It is suggested that the use of such should be kept minimal and with caution.
