Brief Answer:
Need to rule out age related changes and glaucoma.

Detailed Answer:
Hello
Welcome to Health care Magic.

I am Dr. Dadapeer K, an ophthalmologist and I will be answering your question.

I reviewed your history.
It seems from the history that you are having cataract in both the eyes.
This requires cataract surgery.

Thinning of the optic nerve can be caused by age related changes, glaucoma....

The cause can be found out by investigations like measurement of intraocular pressure, optical coherence tomography...

Hence I advice you to consult your ophthalmologist for further evaluation and do get back to me with examination and do get back to me with the reports.

Hope this is helpful to you.

Thank you

Detailed Answer:
Hello
Thank you for the follow up question.

I reviewed the reports.
He has ordered for biometry examination for calculation of intraocular lens power.
As of now you can undergo the cataract surgery and once surgery is done you can go for evaluation of retina and optic nerve.

Hope this is helpful to you.
