What Causes Throat Tightness, Difficulty In Swallowing And Vomiting At One Particular Place?

Question: when i visit my friend at his house my throat gets dry and it feels like I have something stuck at the back of my throat. I cant cough it out and cant swallow it with a cracker or other food. There are no pets in the house and the house tested negative for mold. I end up trying to "hack" it up to the point that I can throw up. Nobody else that visits his house have this problem. My friend thinks it might be psychosomatic.
