What Causes Throbbing Pain On Left Side Of Hard Palate?

Question: Hello,

I have intense throbbing pain on the left side of my hard palate. It can on suddenly after dinner and it just woke me up in the middle of the night. It's excruciating. The left side of my palate is extremely sensitive to touch, however it throbs without anything touching it.

What should I do? Go to dentist or ER?

Hello

From your complaints it looks like you may be having a cavity , which may be deep and exposing your dental pulp. This can give rise to sharp and intense pain specially on taking food/cold items.

Please meet your dentist , he will examine you and guide you further.

Meanwhile you can gargle with warm salt water and take a paracetamol 500 mg tablet for the pain.
