What Causes Throbbing Pain On Right Side Of Head?

Question: Hello Doctor,
I am 29 years old and work in IT - a 5 day working week with about 10 hours work per day.Off late I have been experiencing sudden throbbing pain in the right side of my head - it is only in one side (right side) and starts from above the eye to the back of the head. It causes more discomfort and pain when I look up and down during this time of pain. I never had any problem or so earlier. This is been happening recently - in terms of lifestyle I have an active lifestyle on weekends with moving around and not just a sedentary lifestyle. Could you please help me.. I am very scared to visit a doctor as they would ask me to go for MIR/such scans which really scare me a lot.

Brief Answer:
I advise CT scan
Detailed Answer:
Hi and thanks for your query.
Your headache is related to movement of eyes. Thus I am suspecting sinusitis, muscular (tension) headache or something related to optic nerves.
Thus I would suggest that you atleast get an x-ray done. After the reports, CT scan head may be needed if nothing shows up on xray.
Meanwhile please take ibuprofen 200 mg 2 - 3 times a day for headaches. Dolo is better for fevers, Dispirin is better for thinning the blood in heart issues.
I find ibuprofen more effective in headaches.
Hope it helps.
