Question : Hello doc. I am a mother of 7 month old baby boy. The foreskin on his penis doesn't open . from last few days, a mild swelling occurs when he pees. My pediatrician has prescribed taxim-o syrup and t-bact and sarfaz-sn ointments and suggested that it may require circumcision. Is it necessary to go for circumcision on the little one. He has no pain in peeing.
Please help sir. I am very tensed and scared.I don't want him to go for circumcision

                                    Brief Answer:
You can try retracting foreskin usng lubricant .It may work.
Detailed Answer:
Hello
Thanks for query .
Based on the facts that your 7 months old son seems to have tight foreskin which balloons while he passes urine .
This is suggestive of tight foreskin .
Normally in most of the infants retracting foreskin using lubricant manually does help and it resolves the issue .Consult qualified Surgeon to learn how to do it and practice this maneuver yourself daily while bathing the child .
I does work and can avoid circumcision .
Hope I have answered your query ,please feel free to ask if you have more questions , I shall be happy to help you .
Thanks and Regards.
