Detailed Answer:
Hello,
I have studied your case. When there is healing of wound you can feel some itching or pulling. Though heat is not common. Before I advised you any further can you give me little detail of your illness.
1.Since when you are feeling like this?
2.Is any redness is there around scar? or any fluid is coming out?
3. Can you send me images of your scar?
Please send me answers of these questions. I will try my best to help you.
thanks

This tightness, redness and heat has become more pronounced through the day into this evening
The whole area is red, not just the scar or the area next to,the scar. there is no fluid coming out?
I am not, sure I know how,to send an image of the scar. Do you know how,I would direct it to you?

There is no fluid coming out. I could take a picture of it but I'm not sure I know how to get it to you. Can you direct me how to do that?

Brief Answer:
You should take image and attached it as reports.
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
You should take image by your XXXXXXX phone or camera and attached it as reports. Your symptoms are suggestive of infection.I would suggest you to visit your doctor as soon as possible and get it examined. If there is positive sign on examination then you need to start IV antibiotics.
