What Causes Tightness Sensation In The Stomach After Taking Pantoprazole?
Question: My doctor has put me on pantoprazole 40 mg once in the morning and before supper. I notice that my stomach feels like it gets tight especially after I eat. What is causing that or is this some kind of side affect?

If you have been taking the drug 30 minutes after meals , its fine, if not, I advice you start taking it 30 minutes after meals for a couple of days.
Avoiding spicy foods is also important. In case symptoms persist despite these changes for up to a week, it might be necessary to consult your doctor to prescribe an alternative medication.
