Question: My wife started having tingling then numbness face arm hand and foot on her left side. Would come and go not always same spot. Now her left arm and leg and foot are numb constantly. She also has headache on left side. We have been to ER and they said was not life threating. They did cat scan and blood work. Have also been to family doctor and they have scheduled another cat scan. She is having trouble remembering things. Has gotten bad enough that she cannot make it anywhere without help .
My wife is setting right next to me and is asking where I am at she is texting me. Do we need to go to ER
Don't know if this matters she does have rheumatoid arthritis, osteoarthritis , thyroid over active. She is on prednisone, celebrex and levothyroxine. She was taking humira but has been off for a month.

Brief Answer:
Neurological examination.

Detailed Answer:
Hi XXXX XXXXXXX
Thanks for being on healthcaremagic.com.
I am Dr.Ajay Panwar,a neurologist,here to answer your query.

Numbness on left side of the body including face, upper limbs and lower limbs along with headache strongly indicate that there may be some structural lesion in the brain.
A CT scan or MRI(preferable) of Brain with contrast study will be helpful to approach the diagnosis.

However,I believe that neurological examination in this case may guide the investigations better. So,its better if you can get her examined by a neurologist.

If you have any further questions,I shall be glad to have you in follow-up else please close the thread, rate it and write a review as your rating will be of help to me.
