What Causes Tingling Feeling On Temple After Treating Throat Infection And Cold?

Question: I had just recovered from a very bad sore throat infection and cold after taking antibiotics given by an ENT specialist. But I have noticed post recovery I continue to have a sort of tingling feeling (not pain) on the sides of the forehead which at times I feel relocating to either side or spread on the forehead and sometimes at the start of the nose. It makes me uncomfortable and irritating. I have a DNS and infact my ENT had suggested me to do the surgery. Pls let me know whether the tingling feeling is an effect of the DNS or is it something else?

Thanks for the query.

I have read your query and understand your concern.

As per your clinical history it appears that tingling feeling on forehead & nose root is due nerve stimulation inside nose, Common after nose-sinuses infection & swelling

DNS promote recurrent nose-sinuses infection & swelling. Hence DNS indirectly causes tingling feeling.

If I were your treating Doctor for this case, I would advise you
Steam Inhalation twice daily &
Saline nasal spray thrice daily

Tingling feeling will subsides.

I would also advice to do investigation like CT scan of nose & sinuses to know degree of DNS & any associated sinuses involvement.
