Posted on Mon, 7 Jul 2014
Question: Followed the advice of Dr. Varshney earlier ikn the day...re fall rsults...no obvious signs of real rib damage... just pain when moving off sleeping position... Did the ice for a day; now using heat...I understand the pain remains for several days of more...Feel good otherwise...At the moment, there is a tingle in my left hand, the side of the bang....but it is not more than a tingle....Is it the result of the eat patch on my side? I suspect it is...Just checking.

Brief Answer:
Due to nerve irritation.

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for posting your query.
The mild tingle can be due to a mild nerve compression due to the internal swelling caused by the fall. As soon as the swelling subsides this tingle will improve on its own. This is not worrisome. Continue with the treatment as advised by Dr. Varshney.
I hope this answers your query.
