Brief Answer:
It can be due to cervical spondylitis with compressive neuropathy.

Detailed Answer:
Hi
Thanks for your query

I'm Dr Sudhir Kumar

I have gone through your query and understand your concern.

1. Most likely this could be due to cervical spondylitis with compressive neuropathy. I would order for MRI of cervical spine to confirm this possibility. Let me know if your doctor discussed about MRI scan. If not, I will suggest you discuss about it.
Treatment of spondylitis is glucosamine and mecobalamine. Rest and analgesic such as ibuprofen is useful for pain relief.

2. Second possibility is bilateral carpal tunnel syndrome but in this thumb and nearby two fingers are affected. Little fingers are not affected.

3. Lastly, you should exclude hypothyroidism by thyroid function test(T3, T4 ,TSH) and diabetes by blood sugar test. Thyroid disorder and diabetes can manifest with similar symptoms.

Hope your query is answered. If you have any clarification then I will be happy to help you.

Wishing you a good health.
Take care.
