What Causes Tingling Sensation And Numbness On Right Side Of Head?
Question: Hi,
My wife is having numbness and tingling effects from last few weeks. She has headache from last 1 and half month around. We have done a plain CT Scan as per doctors advice. The scan was normal and Doctor advised Amnurite 5 mg and B complex for 2 months. Sometimes she complains the pain is unbearable like nausea, heavy nose, umcomfort feeling, burning sensation in head. Before Amnurite 5 mg she took sibilium 10mg for a month. Does these medicines cause any side effects like tingling, numbness. I am really worried about her health condition. We consulted neurologist several times, Doctor tested her thoroughly and said I dont see any problem and nothing to worry. He said its a tension type headache and may be vitamin deficiency. Can you please help me in this regard. Do we need to go for any further tests.

A: She is having tingling, numbness on right side of her head not on face, But complains pain on face and nose.

A: On one side of head (Right side). Her vision also gets affect during headache. She has +0.25,+0.25 point.

More than headache, she complains tingling,numbness. From last one week she is having almost daily headache and nausea and last around 2 hours. Before that she had normal headache and she used to complain head uncomfort but not tingling, numbness.

I have gone through the clinical details provided by you and with this clinical background,it appears to be a Migraine like situation.
I suggest that she should be on a trial of anti-migraine drugs for acute episodes as well as prophylaxis.Amnurite's dose can be increased as 5 mg is very low dose and unlikely to being significant effect.Amnurite is a good medicine which can take care of Migraine as well as Tension type headache as in some cases both of them may overlap.
Please discuss with your treating doctor regarding this and all medicines must be taken under his guidance only.
