Question: left arm tingles, starts in the thumb and goes up the arm, feels like pinched verve but it starts in the thumb and goes up the arm, it ends up with a sore shoulder

I have read your question and understand your concerns.

It is actually most likely a pinched nerve that is causing your symptoms.

The nerve may be pinched/compressed during its pathway from spinal cord exit site, at narrow pathways into tendons and muscles.

If you were my patient, I would ask first for a nerve conduction study and EMG in order to understand better your condition.

If cervical spine is suspected as the most probable place of compression, a cervical MRI may be necessary.

Treatment depends on the diagnosis and if any tunnel syndrome is diagnosed, decompression surgery may be necessary.
