What Causes Tingling Sensation In The Neck?

default
Posted on Wed, 21 Jun 2017
Question: Is being able to see my veins like this normal?

History: In the process of quitting smokeless tobacco after 7-8 yrs
Used to drink 4-10 beers a night but also recently cut that back to "occasional"

I'm also having random pain and occasional tingling in my neck. Mostly near 45 degrees off the XXXXXXX apple (primarily in the muscles area. both sides)
They are a bit more visible than in the picture. Thanks

Brief Answer:
Looks normal

Detailed Answer:
Welcome to Healthcaremagic.
Hi, I am Dr Anshul Varshney , I have read your query in detail , I understand your concern.
Prominent neck veins could be normal or could be a part of an underlying heart disease.

In your case, they look normal to me. It actually needs an examination to auscultate your heart as well as to see from where the veins are originating as well as are they pulsating in nature.

Most likely they are normal. Just meet your primary care physician and let him examine your heart and carotids.

In case, he finds any abnormality, he would post you for ECHO and Ultrasound Abdomen.

This is my personal opinion based on details available here. If you still have any other query, you may please ask me.
Stay Healthy.
