What Causes Tingling Sensation In The Penis After Unprotected Sex?
Question: About two weeks ago I had unprotected sex with a girl who said she has been safe and only ever had a few partners. A week later I had some strange feeling in my penis like electric jolt that woke me up at night several nights in a row. I felt an itchy feeling on the side but could not really discern whether itchy or tingle. I'm a major hypochondriac and always feared getting herpes. This weird sensation happened on and off for 8 days with zero sign of any sores or even the slightest blemish. I am 47. Male. It's gone now for the most. Part but I am passing so bad I think I bring it out on myself. What could it be. ?

Hello
Thanks for your query,
Based on the facts that you have posted ,tingling or itching sensation in penis after unprotected sex without any signs of sexual disease like penile discharge ,burning urination ,dysuria,or any positive clinical sign of STD is mostly due to anxiety .
In view of having unprotected sex with unknown girl with doubtful HIV or STD status I would suggest you to get basic screening tests for STD and HIV done .
This will help you to allay your anxiety .
Hope I have answered your query ,please feel free to ask if you have more questions ,I shall be happy to help you
Thanks and Regards.
