What Causes Tingling Sensation In The Vagina After Unprotected Sex?

default
Posted on Tue, 27 Sep 2016
Question: A few days ago I had sex with a guy I have met a few weeks prior. During intercourse the guy took off protection without my permission. I noticed after a few seconds and stop immediately. He also was persistent on using lubricant although my vagina works just fine. I'm known to be sensitive down there and don't usually use lubricant. Later on that night I started my menstrual. Right before it started I felt a little slight itch in the opening of my vagina but nothing overwhelming. I did not scratch it at all. It stated mild and barely noticeable the entire time while on my menstrual. But on the last day it started to worry me so I decided to get a 1-day Monistat treatment for a yeast infection. After waking up my vagina started to tingle burn and feel funny I'm assuming from the medication. The next day all symptoms stopped. I I then had protected sex but it burned when I first started. Now a few days later after the Monistat treatment I have a very acidic pissy smelling light brown discharge. I also have slight cramping in my abdominal area barely noticeable but I know it's there. I'm scared and I don't know what to do.

Brief Answer:
Most likely bacterial infection; do not worry

Detailed Answer:
Hello

Thank You for contacting HCM. My name is Dr Muhammad Ali Rauf & i will look into your problem.

I have gone through your query and would try to help you in the best possible way. First of all i would suggest you not to worry and never take any specific medication (like antifungal) without first taking an opinion from a doctor. The discharge is not likely due to fungal infection because it should be whitish curldy due to fungal infection. Your symptoms are suggesting bacterial infection. If i were your treating doctor then i would have started you on ciprofloxacin & metronidazole but you need to visit hospital because these medicines are not available without prescription. You need to visit hospital and get an appointment for a Consultant Gynecologist. She will examine you and will then give medication prescription.

Hope I have answered your query. If you have any further questions I will be happy to help if not then don't forget to close the discussion and rate it.
Wishing you good health !!

Just a few hours later and the smell has died down alot. I did have an excessive amount of off white funny smelling discharge come out at one time. But since then , I just feel moist. When I stick my finger inside to check. It's an off white discharge. Smells funny. And the opening still tingles for a few seconds.
