Im not due on for another week and have taken a pregnancy test which was negative. Could I be pregnant and tested too early or would it have come up positive already? Thanks

Brief Answer: DO ONE BLOOD TEST FOR BETA-hCG FOR CONFIRMATION. Detailed Answer: Hello, Thanks for writing to us. 1) First of all, I suggest to undergo one blood test for beta-hCG (most reliable) to clear doubt about pregnancy. Mild clear fluid or milky discharge from breast may be due to physiological if you are on breast feeding or high prolactin level. However, we need to confirm pregnancy by above mentioned test. 2) In absence of pregnancy, hormonal imbalance, Poly Cystic Ovary, mental stress, emotional upset, irregular diet, increased prolactin level, over weight, pelvic infection, thyroid disturbance etc can cause above clinical features. In that case, one pelvic ultrasound scan and hormone tests (serum prolactin, LH/ FSH, thyroid profile etc) will be worthwhile to rule out the underlying cause and confirm the diagnosis. For this, you can consult with your GYNECOLOGIST after confirming pregnancy. Proper treatment depends on diagnosis of the case. 3) In addition, you would take healthy diet with more green vegetables, drink more water, keep bowel habit regular, avoid mental stress by meditation or yoga, control body weight by regular physical exercise and maintain genital hygiene properly. Wear tight breast support and avoid much handling. Hope, it helps for your information. Kindly, close the discussion if you don't have any other query. Wish your good health and take care yourself.
