Brief Answer:
traumatic ulcer, sharp teeth, medication

Detailed Answer:
Thanks for your query. I have gone through your query and the image.
As far as the tiny spot or ulcer over the lateral border of the tongue is concerned, it can be a traumatic ulcer secondary to tongue biting. This usually occurs when the cusps of the teeth are sharp. Nothing to be panic, consult a oral physician and get it evaluated. Mean while you can use topical analgesic like choline salicylate and topical anesthetic like lignocaine. If there are any sharp cusps, then you need to get the sharp teeth rounded off. If the ulcer does not heal in 5-7days then consult a oral physician and get it evaluated.
I hope i have answered your query. If any queries are there, reply me back. Take care.
