What Causes Tiredness And Swelling In The Arms, Legs, Hands And Face?

Question: 28 year old female. otherwise great health, no allergies. 5 weeks ago woke up really tired/stiff. as the day went on, my entire body swelled up-arms/legs hands and face in particular. have been to the clinic 4 times, bloodwork(including thyroid), urine, and a ct with contrast have all come back normal. They had me on various different steroids and lasix(a few other diuretics as well) and nothing has helped. I am extremely fatigued-can barely accomplish anything throughout the day, usually just getting kids to school results in a 4 hour nap . Swelling in hands and feet get much worse as the day goes on, especially if i am up and moving around. Random sharp pains shooting through my arms and legs that come and go. Hands and arms go numb-really numb, like if you slept on it funny, but doesnt go away with movement, lasts for 30 minutes or more. vision goes blurry off and on. my dr says hes content to "monitor" it, if it gets worse to come back in to do more extensive testing, which I can assume would be a lumbar puncture? I am a stay at home mom of 2 very busy boys, one with special needs,so needless to say it does not work for me to live in bed and I would just like to know what I should be pushing for testing wise to figure this out.
Brief Answer:
Possible Connective tissue disorder? Require Confirmation
Detailed Answer:
Hello Madam.
I can certainly understand your concern.
I have worked through your query in detail.
Going by your symptoms, it's important to rule out connective tissue disorders.
For this, I advise you to get an ANA profile and a 2D ECHO of the heart.
Further management if any is largely based on test results.
Post your further questions if any.
Thank you.
