What Causes Tiredness While Walking Indoor?

Not related to asthma
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Thanks for asking.
I am Dr. Prakash HM and I will be answering your query.
Based on your query, my opinion is as follows:
1. No, it does not appear to be related to asthma. If you had asthma, breathlessness would be causing you to take rest. Indoor allergy for asthma is rare and also you are additionally on treatment.
2. If you were walking well before and are feeling tired recently, need to look into a few aspects like nutrition, hemoglobin level and thyroid hormone profile. Hope you have no muscle weakness or breathing difficulty.
3. Need to concentrate on nutrition to maintain normal diet along with adequate hydration. Check hemoglobin level, it should be within normal range. If hemoglobin is normal, then hypothyroidism evaluation maybe necessary.
However, do not stress too much. Avoid any risk of falling. Maintain a good nutritious diet, if it does not improve, then other tests will be necessary.
Hope it helps.

I am unable to climb staircase as well. I am on medication for High blood pressure and diabetics (sugar control). Also my doc has prescribed me to have --> 1) AB Phylline (twice a day), 2) Montek L C and 3) Bro zedex (thrice a day). He has told me to have these medicienes for a month. I have to take rest for sometime to get some relief when i get tired. Is my case related to Asthama? Please advice.

Not related to asthma, possible cardiovascular issue..
Detailed Answer:
Hi XXXX,
Sorry, if I was inaccurate with my answer.
1. I understand you doctor has prescribed medications for asthma. All the three medications are specifically useful in reducing cough, reducing allergic reaction and dilatation of lung pipe (bronchodilatation), so that easy breathing is possible. If you had breathing difficulties, cough on exposure to dust/ allergen, then asthma would have been suspected and started. Without any of these symptoms, diagnosis of asthma is difficult. Tiredness with few steps is not supportive of asthma.
2. As I've earlier said, there is no breathlessness or difficulty in breathing. At rest, you get relaxed, so it is not due to asthma (until treated, allergic reaction would not go away, asthma is usually due to allergy).
3. These symptoms, rather than related to respiratory system, could be more related to cardiovascular system. If hemoglobin is good, then stress ECG (treadmill test) to check for cardiac function will be necessary. History of high blood pressure and diabetes also support cardiac cause.
Not related to asthma, more possibly cardiovascular cause. Can you please let me know what all anti-hypertensives are you taking and how is the BP status lately..
Regardless of the fact , Stress Test should be done at this age to rule out any underlying Cardiac Ischemia(Decreased blood supply to the heart)which is quite evident from your reply..
Hope it helps.

My 2D Echo Doppler and other test were normal Hence I underwent Permanent Pace Maker plantation & Coronary Angiography. Now my pulse is arround 85 & LCx shows 70% stenosis after a largeOM1 on 17th March 2016.ECG is normal.I have noticed that when I get tired, even after climbing a floor, I need to take dip breathing for few seconds & I become normal.
Many cardiac conditions - more probably cardiac cause.
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Thanks for asking again. In reply to your clarification, my opinion is as follows:
1. Yes, pulse rate was really low and required improvement and pace-maker on a permanent basis is necessary.
2. 70% stenosis is high and risk of future infarction with thrombus is present. The numerous cardiac association increases a possibility of cardiac cause.
3. At present, tiredness even after climbing a floor and improving upon rest is a classical cardiac cause. You can look into New york heart association classification of heart failure, and you are more in class II. With rest, symptoms always improve due to cardiac cause, unless it is major.
4. Even if you still think it is asthma, with current medications, you should notice improvement within 2-3 days. If not, you are not going to notice any major improvement. If it improves, then I have not come across a condition like this and this should help me in future in improving myself. Respiratory diseases like asthma usually require treatment for improvement and rest usually is unhelpful.
Hope it helps.
