What Causes Tissue Discharge Along With Blood During Periods?

Question: Hi, I am a 27 year old female who is on birth control(mononessa). On the third day of my period, I had normal cramps, but no other issues. But I ended up passing what I can assume is some sort of tissue, (i did an internet search and i believe it's a Decidual cast?)and a significant amount of blood with it. This has never happened to me before, and the articles ive read are referencing to pregnancy, should I be concerned? And if so, is this something caused by my birth control?

It can be due to normal shedding of endometrium or it can be due to pregnancy also but before giving my opinion about it I would like to ask a few questions.
Have you missed your period?
Give me detail about your menstrual cycle?
Have you ever missed your pill?
Any other associated symptoms?
Taking any other medicine or suffering from any disease?
