default
Posted on Fri, 27 Feb 2015
Question: my husband fell yesterday and now is experiencing tremors and the inability to walk until the tremor ends. The tremors also happen (less frequently) in bed. He also in not able to eat very much because of a swallowing problem and has been losing a lot of weight. He will be tested for swallowing at UCLA next week. Any ideas?

Detailed Answer:
Hello

My name is Dr Muhammad Ali Rauf & i will look into your problem.

I have gone through your query and would try to help you in the best possible way. There could be a number of causes for you problem. Such symptoms after a head trauma usually indicates a CNS injury. Brain controls almost everything. When particular part of brain is damaged then specific symptoms appear related to that particular part of the brain. In the current situation i would suggest you to get an appointment with a neurologist. He will perform complete neurological examination and some basic investigations like MRI brain & EEG to rule out brain pathology. Further treatment depends upon the results of examination & investigations.

Hope I have answered your query. If you have any further questions I will be happy to help if not then don't forget to close the discussion and rate it.
Wishing you good health !!
