What Causes Tunnel Vision After Discontinuing BP Medication?
Question: for approx. 1and1/2 years I have had what I call spells- I get confused-I know where I am, but I don't know why I am there. I have tunnel vision and I break out in a cold sweat on my head and body. These spells last about 3 minutes. I have from 3 to 6 spells a day for 2 days and then none for 2 or 3 weeks. I check my blood pressure regularally and it is always normal, never low. Istopped taking blood pressure medicine about 6 weeks ago.
Brief Answer:
Could be due to hormone deprivation
Detailed Answer:
Thanks for asking on HealthcareMagic.
I have gone carefully through your query and understand your concerns. Going by the mentioned symptoms it is possible that you are suffering from hormone deprivation. Such a thing is commonly encountered in perimenopausal or post-menopausal women. If that is the case, hormone replacement therapy (HRT) could provide relief. You need to visit a gynecologist to get evaluated and tested. He would be able to set up the right regimen for you.
Let me know if I could help further.

why would I need to see a gynecologist when I am a male and not female?
Brief Answer:
Seeing an endocrinologist would help.
Detailed Answer:
You can see an endocrinologist or a gynecologist as both these specialities deal with such issues. I am sorry that I had not noted that you are a male but the issues can still be relevant. Seeing an endocrinologist would be just fine.
