What Causes Twisting Sensation In Abdomen While Bending Forward?

Question: I was bending forward to pick something up from the floor, when I had a sensation of something twisting inside my abdomen on the right side. It was painful but went away quickly. Should I worry?
Brief Answer:
Nothing to worry.
Detailed Answer:
Hello dear,welcome to HCM forum.
Such sensation is common during bending down or exercise. This occur when intra abdominal viscera adjusts themselves during rapid rise in pressure in the abdominal cavity. The pain is due to twisting/compression of the parietal peritonium covering the viscera.
If you do not have persistent pain or nausea and bladder and bowel movements are fine, there is nothing to worry-just forget that.
Hope this will answer your query.
Wishing you good health.
Thank you.
