Brief Answer: self care, expert's advice would help. Detailed Answer: Thanks for the query. Allergy itself is a chronic condition, creating impatience /irritation. When you find eye involvement along with, you are naturally worried. I understand your concern. You say you had allergic sinusitis along with eye twitching which bothers You. * The possible causes of eye twitching in your case could be one or many of the following- - Stress, fatigue, lack of sleep, -Dryness of eyes- due to allergic response of body, some eye condition like refractory error (short sightedness is possible considering your age). - Effect of environmental allergens on eye itself. - The congestion of eye due to blowing of nose as you observe. * Home management- Avoid strong blowing of nose, use nasal decongestant drops, medicated vapor inhalation to clear sinuses. - Put cold water on the eye to avoid congestion due to blowing. - Do Eye exercises; learn relaxation techniques for eyes/body - use artificial tear drops & avoid dry eyes. * consulting an Ophthalmologist is advised if- 1) Usually miner eye twitching goes within a week’s time. If it persists beyond that, check for refractory error is the first thing. 2) In case other facial parts also twitches along with eye, 3) In case, eye closes completely with twitch, 4) Infection of eye causing swelling along with congestion/redness/discharge or drooping of eye lid. Thus, with a persistent self care & expert advice you can overcome the problem of eye twitching/allergy too! I hope the answer was both informative & helpful to you.Any follow up query is welcome.
