What Causes Twitching Of Left Eyelid And Muscle Weakness?
Use lubricating eye drops or eye muscle strengthening exercises
Detailed Answer:
Hello and welcome to HCM
I had gone through your question very diligently and I can understand your concern.
Your symptoms can be related to poor functioning of eye lid muscles due to fatigue or muscle weakness secondary to systemic disease like diabetes, dryness of eye or infection or eyelashes or nutritional deficiency like vitamin A and calcium
I would like further information to help you better
is there any redness or pain in eye
do you have any vision problem?
In my opinion you should book an appointment with an eye specialist in your time for clinical examination and confirmation of diagnosis
You need to be worried but not too much.
Meanwhile use eye lubricant drops like carboxymethylcellulose
Have fresh fruits and vegetables
You can do eye muscle strengthening exercises
Hope this helps you
please feel free to ask for more clarificationI will gladly answer you
Thanks and regards
I don't have dryness, redness or pain in eye. I do wear glasses for nearsightedness when driving.
A few months before leaving my job, I started wearing my glasses at work to teach from a dim and fuzzy projector which most of the children had trouble seeing. It was all we had.
When I left work at the end of March, I went back to wearing the glasses for driving only. This past week I tried wearing the glasses in the house for a little more than an hour, however my eyelid continued to jump.
I chose to rest by closing my eyes for a few minutes which seems to work for several hours.
I will try to increase the fruits and vegetables in my diet. I unwittingly stopped taking my Centrum Silver for Women a month ago also. Using my husband's glucometer after eating a sandwich, my blood sugar is 90. I do consider myself some what over weight; 5'8" at 175 lbs.
I did find some squeezing, blinking and eye rolling strengthening exercises I will also try.
I am experiencing a skin rash on my limbs where I sweat during hot flashes. I don't know if this is infection. Although I notice as long as I stay on my 24 hour Zyrtec and use an oil based moisturizer, the rash won't spread.
I'm only mentioning this in response to your stating that my symptoms can be related secondarily to systemic disease like infection.
Does the additional information raise other concerns?
Use lubricanting eye drops until you see a eye doctor
Detailed Answer:
Hello
Thanks for your reply and detailed history
Blinking of eye can be related to dryness of eye or growth on the sclera like conjunctival cyst or ptrygiom
Whenever you see a eye doctor discuss with your doctor about all this.
Meanwhile keep on instillation of lubricating eye drops
If you can upload us a photograph of skin rash on limbs I will be able to guide you better which could be due to local allergy or contact dermatitis
Hope this answers your question
wishing you good health
Regards
