Brief Answer:
anger can be symptom of many diosrders

Detailed Answer:
Hello XXXX,

Thanks for writing to us. I can understand your concern.

Anger can be symptom of many disorders.

The first and foremost problem is excess stress of any kind. It can be emotional, social, economical, occupational stress. This stress may lead to anger outburst.

Another possibility is underlying depression. Sad mood, lack of interest in routine/pleasurable activities, weeping/crying spells, hopelessness, reduce appetite, excessive fatigue or weakness, lack of concentration, sleep disturbances, death wishes, suicidal ideas are symptoms of depression. If 5 or more are present since more than 2 weeks possibility of depression is there.

Other common diagnosis is intermittent explosive disorder in which anger outburst is totally out of control of self. At the end person repent and feels guilt over his/her anger.

All are treatable conditions and medicines and/or psychotherapy can treat such problem.

To diagnose the exact problem detail history and mental status examination are to be done by a psychiatrist in person. I request you to consult psychiatrist personally soon.

Revert back to me with more relevant details and possibility of any of the problems I mentioned in your case.

Hope I have answered your query, I will be happy to help further.
Regards,
Dr.Chintan Solanki.
