Detailed Answer:
Hi, I had gone through your query and understood your concerns.
Hiccups are a brief, irritable spasms of the diaphragm that can occur for a few seconds or minutes. They infrequently as in your father's case last longer in normal individuals without any underlying medical problem.
Possible underlying conditions are gastrointestinal conditions – such as gastro-oesophageal reflux disease (GORD), inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) or a small bowel obstruction, respiratory conditions – such as asthma, pneumonia or pleurisy,
a condition causing irritation of the vagus nerve (which could disrupt nerve signals in your body) – such as goitre, pharyngitis or meningitis
a psychological reaction – such as shock, fear, grief, excitement, hysterical behaviour, anxiety or stress, conditions affecting your metabolism (the way your body digests food) – such as diabetes, hypoglycaemia or hyperglycaemia.
That is a tedious list is just for your information. But all those are very rare situations to cause hiccups. But if the hiccups are more than two days. any of the above could be cause. Try home remedies like From holding your breath to drinking a glass of water quickly.
Coming to medical care meet the local general physician and discuss the treatment as website terms and conditions doesn't allow us to mention names of drugs. Medical remedies are many to stop persistent hiccups.

My father also has pain in his right leg...both his legs are diabatic foot for more than 5 years now but he could earlier walk without any problem. But since yesterday he cant move his right leg and has a lot of pain and seems to me that the legs have darkened (turning black)..the hiccups are persistent and it has already been more than 24 hours that the hiccups have not stop: Is it possible that the hiccups and the leg pain are related or are these two different symptoms...
my question is:
No, Both the symptoms are not related.
