Question: I'm a 27 yr old female. I have always suffered migraines since I was a young girl. About 2 weeks ago the left side of my face was sensitive and tingled when I touched it. My left ear and throat hurt when I swallowed. Doc said my lymph nodes were swollen and had a fever, took medication and went away. I still have a constant feeling ofdraining at back of throat for 2 mos now. I woke up twice choking and have an annoying random cough. Also, this morning when I woke up I heard a popping noise at the top left side of my head. I don't know what's going on and if I should get concerned?
Brief Answer:
Your symptoms need investigations...
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
I went through the details with diligence. I would say these symtoms are not normal. What you just described is constant post nasal drip associated with previous upper respiratory and ear infection; random cough; choking sensation; and the popping sound. These features may be indicatice of persistent or chronic sinus inflammation. X-ray or CT scan of paranasal sinus will help you isolate the cause.Your local doctor /ENT surgeon will know about the tests.
Hence in my opinion you need to proceed to the local ENT doctor's office and discuss about relevant tests. It isn't very serious concern warranting immediate attention, but definitely not to be ignored. Call your doctor's office as and when possible.
Hope this helps. Let me know if you need clarification.
