What Causes Urethral Irritation When Diagnosed With HSV-1 Infection?

Question: Hello Again doctor,
I wanted to update you about my case.
The clinic called me up after i did the Blood, Urine and Swab tests.
The Antibody showed i am negative for HSV2 but positive for HSV1. In my earlier test it seems that they did not perform antibody test for hsv1. but im most sure that i might have got it from my initial 2 month post exposure.
PCR Swab test and Urine is still pending.
Could my urethra irritation be related to this? Is it possible i got it from genital in my initial unprotected sexual exposure and it became irritated? my penis now has some redness on the urethra side but it might be due to the swab taken. can i attach an image?

Thanks for updating your report .

HSV 1 infection is very common and can remain dormant for years together .It is difficult to predict when you got it however urethral irritation can be due to HSV 1 infection though it can not be commented with certainty..

You can take Acyclovir twice daily for 10 days and observe for any improvement in irritation of urethra.

There is rash over shaft of the penis on ventral aspect and scrotum ,

Use topical ointment like Meconazole twice daily .It should get creared within 5 days.

Ensure to wash your inner wares in boiling hot water mixed with anti septic solution Dettol.

Is this related to any symptoms of Genatil Herpes?

please note that this rash is accompanied by the same pain/irritation in urethra and anus.

hi again doctor,
thank you again for your input.
i have attached my test results. hsv2 is negative antibody.

the clinic called and mentioned that my positive antibody for hsv1 was mostly due to past indecent and there are no signs of std.

should i just let time take care of the discomfort feeling? or anything i can try?
your kind advice is great appreciated.
